MARIA JOSE ESTRELA PEREIRA SANTOS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother on July 22, 2009. Maria passed away peacefully at the Misericordia Care Unit at the age of 83 years. Maria was born in Acores, Portugal and was predeceased by her husband Deodato, and leaves to mourn, her sons Ildeberto (Ines) of Vancouver, B.C. and Louis (Gilda), daughter Fatima (Nicolau), six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many other family members. The family would like to thank the wonderful nursing team of the Misericordia Care Unit who cared for our mother during her last days. Prayers will be held on Friday, July 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. with Very Rev. José Eduardo Medeiros, V. F. officiating. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
